Favorite Items

For products that you buy a lot, you can save them to your Favorite Items list for quick and easy retrieval into your shopping list. You will see the Favorite Items icon throughout the system. This gives you the ability to either add items quickly to your Favorite Items list or to access the list itself. You will also see that there is always an icon on the top right of the banner that gives you easy access to this list.

On this list you can see your favorite items and their Smart Buy Price and My Best Price. You can also set a Smart Buy Alert to inform you if someone reports a price at or below this level in your area. You can also enter prices you find for these items right here. This list is a great reference to print and have with you at the store or to access via your mobile web device.

Adding an Item to Your Favorites List

There are many ways you can add items to your Favorite Items list. The first is from your shopping list. Each item has a Favorite Items icon and by clicking on this icon, SmartShopIt adds it directly to the Favorite Items list.

There is also a Favorite Items icon on every Product detail page. This page (sample below) can be viewed by clicking on a product's name anywhere in the system.

Another way is from the Product Look-up pages, whenever you access a category of products you will see a Favorite Items icon appear at the top of the list. This gives you a way to search for multiple items and allows you to add them all at once. Just select the items you wish to add then click on the Favorite Items icon.

Here we were browsing wheat sandwich bread. We pared down the list by removing items we weren’t interested in. To do this, click on the items you don't want and click on the Remove button. As we got to a smaller list, we saw the products we like and checked them. Then we clicked the Favorite Items icon.

Now our Favorite Items list looks like this:

You can add these items quickly to either a Quick List or a Shopping List.

To add to a Favorite item to a Quick List, you must have first accessed the Favorite Items list from a Quick List. Select the items you want and click the Add to Quick List button.

Any item added from your favorites list will have an F appear in the Item Options column, indicating that this was added from your Favorite Items list.

To add a Favorite Items directly to a Shopping List, click on the Favorites icon from anywhere in the site. Select the item you want to add and then click on the Add Icon at the top of the list.

It will add these items to the current Shopping List you are on. If you are not on a list or want to add it to a different list, select the Shopping list name from the pull-down menu, then click on the Add Item icon.

Smart Buy Alert

You can set SmartShopIt.com to alert you when a price is found in the system that at or lower than a desired priced. This is a great feature to tell you when hot buys are found for products you use often. In the Smart Buy Alert column, enter the price at which you want to be alerted. You will receive an email notification when a price is entered in your area that is at or below this price.

Other Options:

Currently Shopping At – You can remove, select another or refresh your currently shopping at retailer. This way any prices you enter here are applied to the right store where you found the price.

Search – If you have a large Favorites list, you can go directly to items by clicking on the alpha-numeric search bar. Just click on the letter that the product begins with. If it starts with a number then select the hash # symbol.

Print – Click here to print your Favorites list.

Remove – Select the items you want to remove, and then click on the remove button.
